LEAN IN APRIL 2022: PERSONAL BRANDING.

.

Join us as our own Nadya James tells us about how personal branding affects all aspects of our lives. Personal branding in relation to work has everything to do with how we represent ourselves in everyday life. Although we usually keep work and our personal lives separate, they coincide so much when it comes to self awareness and how we handle conflict, happiness and challenges in both.

MORE ABOUT NADYA JAMES

I am a very passionate person that really enjoys working with passionate people. I fell in love with marketing when I first started as a media coordinator at Freestyle Marketing Group in Salt Lake City, UT. I learned that in marketing the best payoff is being able to see the fruits of your labor, and of course the bigger win is your clients being proud of what you produced for them. While I was working at my first agency, I decided that I wanted to make a career of client success. Clients, no matter the industry, are what I would define as those passionate people. I’m talking about the fire starters of the world who want to make a difference with their desire to bring something of value to the table; through a service or product that makes life just a little bit less complicated. The last two years I’ve had the pleasure of joining the oil and gas community, maintaining my work in marketing but adding on a new skill: the art of business development. I will admit that the past couple of years have been a huge learning curve not short of its uphill challenges, but the wins at every peak have been monumental for me. I am hungry and want to keep learning as I go, and hopefully one day become a woman who can influence and help mold the next wave of young minds coming in to the professional world.
